Detects which installed applications have a newer version and updates them with one click by downloading each vendor's full installer from the URL recorded in the winget manifest, verifying its SHA-256 before execution, and running the publisher's own silent switches, then re-reading the installed version to confirm the update actually landed. Windows uses winget plus the registry Uninstall keys; macOS enumerates .app bundles and matches them against the Homebrew cask catalog. Installers that need administrator rights run in an elevated copy via UAC. All plugin routes are deny-by-default through the host connection admission gate, write operations require explicit confirm:true, and machine-wide installs need system permissions — the README lists every command executed.
