Replaces the oldest span of a session's visible history with one message that carries an extractive one-line index and the path of a lossless local archive, so each request sends fewer tokens. The full text is archived before the fold is committed, the index is built by slicing each message's own text (no model is called and no summary is written), and each fold also writes its unsampled index to disk so older spans stay reachable through a chain of paths.
